About me
I'm a retired advertising photographer in Dallas, Texas. Photography is a life-long love, although I didn't get serious about it until my mid-20's.
When I finally decided to jump in, I planned to become a professional as soon as possible. I found an older, professional photographer, an Art Center graduate, who took me on as a private student. From him, I received an excellent, broad and deep photographic education that I put to good use when I went into the advertising photography business a few years later.
Before making photography my full-time profession, I was a member of the Boston Ballet company, hence the many dance images on my website. After working in photography for about 20 years, I went back to school to get my graduate degree, then changed careers to become an airline analyst. I've worked for American Airlines since 1995.
Photography is now a hobby (for the first time) and working on my website and my archives a very enjoyable pastime. My website contains almost entirely personal work. I'm honored to name among my friends a number of OnExposure contributors.
