Eddie Wong wrote 3 months ago Very interesting image. Even the majority of this image is out of focus but yet still interesting to look at. The diagonal pole really works well here!! Jacob Jovelou replied 3 months ago Thank you Eddie. Yeah, the diagonal pole makes the "wall of rain" more visible by adding more depth to the photo. Glad you like it. Bror Johansson wrote 3 months ago A little confusing. It´s difficult to capture rain in a good way. Actually, I´m not fond of this one. Jacob Jovelou replied 3 months ago Thanks for leaving a comment Bror but I guess when we are negative it is even more important to be thorough and your comment isn't. Feel free to explain more if you have the time. Bror Johansson replied 3 months ago Well, I just can´t find a place to focus my eyes. It´s good if you get the feeling of heavy rain, I just can´t catch that feeling. Jacob Jovelou replied 3 months ago Now I understand much better. I think this image can be seen in many ways. My eyes tend to be drawn to the wall of rain where the image is in focus. But I understand your view and unless this "wall" is visible to the viewer the image lacks subject and is quite pointless. Thanks for the critique, Bror! I really find negative comments interesting but personally I never just write to someone that I dislike an image. I either chose not to comment or to write why I don't like it. Codrin Lupei wrote 3 months ago One of my favorites from your work! Beautiful photograph, Jacob, as I've said before, the rain could be felt! Love it! all the best Codrin Jacob Jovelou replied 3 months ago Codrin, I love rain and I've tried to capture it many times in a way that really gives you the right rainy feeling. I was happy with the result here, but I tell you it required pouring rain, not just a small shower... :) Thanks for the comment. |
