Robert wrote 3 months ago I think the Officr also would like to have fun with them:-)) Greetings Robert Mark Wade wrote 3 months ago Micele A. said I like the contrast of characters, this picture pleases me a lot (*to paraphrase). It pleases me a lot too. What a story. The officer makes it. *iGooogle translater Mark Koen Pieters wrote 3 months ago street photography the way I love it. fantastic. all the expressions are good and relevant. the hand with the cup creeping in is. that guy creeping in making a fool of himself gives a good indication of the laid back mood. But it's that copper's pose and totally relaxed expression that really holds the picture together. He has seen this before... often lol Dmitry Kiyatkin replied 3 months ago Thanks Koen, Much of my photography is just about "being there," letting people know what you are up to, and then just taking the pictures. No hiding or concealment of any kind. Two big cameras, one with a flash on, the other with 80-200mm -- works best for me. Lets people know that you are there for a reason. I never found that to effect people's actions too much. I tell them not too look in the camera. Most of the times it works, except this one! Koen Pieters replied 3 months ago he he... there's always one :-) but luckily every now and then it actually adds to the feel of the shot... like it does here. gerard sexton wrote 3 months ago i actually voted against this & at the time was really confused by the image & my feelings ranged from set up to whats this all about. i am still unclear what tailgating is but now understand the picture more. having come back to it it does have a certain charm & i now notice the faces at the back who have latched on to the silly guy on the left & are laughing with him or at least at his antics. i am now able to say i like this image not because i was wrong in voting to not publish but because given more time the image holds together very well has humour & curiosity in equal measure. yes well captured. Dmitry Kiyatkin replied 3 months ago I must explain tailgating to people not from US. It is an activity that takes place before and often during major sporting events. People come to parking lots and parks near arenas and have very elaborate celebrations. Tailgate is the rear gate of a truck or SUV. There events usually involve food and alcohol. On college campuses this is common as well. The year when I was going my story the University and Police decided to try to crack down n underage drinking. They went around and carded and even arrested sine people. They dumped the beer from kegs that were service to people under 21 years on age. Here is a site with the rest of the images, if you are interested: http://www.ww2models.com/photo/TGStory/ gerard sexton replied 3 months ago dimitry similar practice at big rugby internationals that is too being pervaded by those evangelists wanting to stop people enjoying themselves! |
