Great shot!! 6000m that's over 19,000 feet, were you that high when you took this?? Or is that the height of the volcano?

it's how high we were. We were climbing the Chachani volcano above Arequipa, which is 6075m high (I failed to reach the summit but passed the symbolic 6000m line). I don't know how high this volcano was, but my guess is probably between 5500 and 6200m.

No, not that one. It was a few kilometres away from the one we were climbing (which we already discussed, actually, on http://www.onexposure.net/photos/member/1195/9735/).

Thanks Ulf. Morning light 6000m high is just incredible and can make even volcanic eruption look soft :)
